An opportunity for those involved in gathering evidence and assessing for access arrangements to gain or refresh their knowledge of the assessment and reporting procedures for Access Arrangements in GCSEs and GCEs for SpLD learners.
   Course Detail

This half-day course is suitable for those new to assessment for Access Arrangements as well as experienced assessors who wish to refresh and update their knowledge on meeting the needs of learners with SpLD in examinations.

 

·         Explore changes to the current academic year's JCQ Regulations for Access Arrangements at GCSE and GCE levels

·         Investigate gathering evidence from both the assessment and the centre to

fulfil the requirements for the various access arrangements

·         Review the selection of reliable, valid and up-to-date assessment tools to determine appropriate access arrangements to meet individual needs

The course will discuss current regulations relating to GCSE and GCE qualifications. In this context, it aims to develop delegates' knowledge of standardised assessment for access arrangement, the selection of appropriate tests to establish individual needs and the collating and reporting of learner evidence.
