This 6 hour course looks at: 1) The Principles for Educational Testing 2) The current year JCQ Regulations and Documentation 3) Case Studies of candidates
   Course Detail

Session1: Principles for Educational Testing (1.5 hours) 

Sarah takes you through the principles of using standardised tests, how to select reliable and appropriate tests and looks at the related terminology and the ethics of assessment.

Session 2: JCQ Regulations and Documentation (3 hours)

Caroline outlines the current JCQ regulations, examines what Access Arrangements are available, what evidence is required and how to apply for arrangements online, She makes suggestions for appropriate tests and examines in detail the current requirements for a candidate to be granted extra time. Throughout the presentation the changes for the 2012/13 regulations are highlighted.

Session 3: Case Studies (1.5 hours)

This is an opportunity to put into practice what you have learned during the course. A selection of case studies is available, providing information about each candidate's background alongside qualitative and quantitative data. Consider which arrangements would be appropriate for each candidate.
