Course prerequisites
- Delegates must hold or be about to complete the Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (CCET) and be eligible for registration as a Test User Educational on the BPS Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU).

The course is made up of two main strands (theory and practice) and each strand is subdivided into between 4 and 6 elements). Delegates will need to study them all and carry out associated tasks in order to complete the course successfully. On successful completion of all course assignments and having passed the required learning objectives, delegates are issued with the Certificate of Psychometric Testing, Assessment and Access Arrangements (CPT3A).
Initially 4 months is allowed to complete the course, but this can be extended by a further 4 months is a suitable case is made.
