Access Arrangements for students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) - 09 Jan 2025 to 09 Jan 2026: Patoss

Overview

Description

In this course, Lia will provide detailed information about the access arrangements that are available for students who have English as an Additional Language (EAL) and the evidence requirements for each arrangement in line with the 2024-25 JCQ regulations

Students who have English as an Additional Language may require access arrangements when taking GCSE and A level examinations in order to fully demonstrate their knowledge and understanding. Some access arrangements can be provided on the basis of a student’s EAL. Others require an assessor to establish that underlying learning difficulties exist before approval can be granted.

Lia will cover each of the arrangements available, the evidence required and how this is recorded.
