Description

In this course Lia explores the roles of invigilators and adults involved in facilitating access arrangements: readers, scribes, practical assistants, language modifiers, prompters and communication professionals. It provides useful training to enable these personnel to carry out their roles in line with the JCQ regulations

Invigilators have a key role in safeguarding the integrity of the exam process. Because they ensure that exams are managed in line with the JCQ regulations, it is vital that they have a good understanding of the Instructions for Conducting Examinations.

Adults acting as facilitators in exams must also have a good understanding of their role in supporting a learner during exams and how this may differ from the support provided in the classroom.
