Description

Experienced assessor, Armande Fryatt, delivers this useful webinar on best practice in the assessment and reporting of spelling and handwriting. Consideration will be given to the interpretation of spelling results and how to analyse the findings in terms of phonological awareness and orthography. Guidance will be given on analysing handwriting to meet SASC requirements. 

The webinar is in four parts:

 

Administering tests of spelling. Single word spelling versus spelling fluency.

Qualitative Analysis of error types: which are phonetic and which are orthographic? Suggestions for intervention.

Administering tests of handwriting. Qualitative analysis of handwriting performance.

SASC guidance on handwriting speed.
