Description
Most assessors and SENCos are very familiar with the DASH as an assessment for handwriting. The new edition, DASH-2 has been revised and updated with new norms for improved utility.
Course Description
In the training the principal author will explain the revisions and how to use DASH-2 to identify children and young adults with handwriting difficulties. The following points will be covered:
- The main revisions to DASH-2
- How to administer each of the DASH-2 tasks
- Interpretation of test scores
- Use of qualitative information from DASH-2
DASH-2 includes the same range of tasks as in previous editions:
- Copy Best
- Alphabet Writing
- Copy Fast
- Free Writing
- Graphic speed
New features include different sentences for a younger and older age group and the provision of alternate versions for copying and Free Writing. You will have the opportunity to question the author about the test and how to administer the tasks.
