This is a practical course for Specialist Teachers/Assessors who carry out diagnostic assessments for Pre and Post 16 students. The course has been designed to provide guidance on the SASC report formats introduced in June 2019 for diagnostic assessment of pre and post 16 students.

This course has been designed to provide guidance on the SASC report formats introduced in June 2019 for diagnostic assessment of pre and post 16 students. It has been written from a practitioner's perspective and will give guidance on writing clear, accurate reports that follow the recommended guidelines. It will also address common issues that arise particularly when assessors are relatively inexperienced.

  • In order to produce a Diagnostic Report you must hold a current Assessment Practising Certificate for Assessors issused either by Patoss, BDA or Dyslexia Action. It is assumed that the majority of delegates following this course either hold an Assessment Practising Certificate or are in the process of applying for one.
