   Course Summary
Patoss Mentoring offers personalised support in assessment and report writing. Mentees have the option of selecting a 1- or 2-hour package which enables and facilitates a focussed approach to developing professional practice.
   Course Detail

The foundations of Patoss Mentoring are built on professional dialogue and a shared approach to exploring specific areas of professional practice identified by the mentee.

The aim of Patoss Mentoring is to provide a service for specialist assessors that enables and facilitates the exploration and development of professional practice through focussed, individualised support from quality assured mentors.

  • Reviewing principles of psychometrics, statistics, assessment and underlying theory
  • SpLD testing methods, interpretation, report writing, feedback and test materials

   Pre-requisites
  • Patoss members should have a qualification in SpLD assessment
  • Non-members must have an appropriate APC level qualification or a current APC from another awarding body.
  • Working knowledge of the following SASC documents:  Final SASC Report Formats Additional Guidance June 2019  Final Post 16 Diagnostic Assessment Report Format  Final Pre- 16 Diagnostic Assessment Report Format  STC Pre- 16/ Post 16 Test Lists (revised June 2021)
