   Course Summary
The purpose of this session is to discuss the cognitive, linguistic risk factors, and reading and writing abilities that should be included in a comprehensive evaluation for dyslexia.
   Course Detail
In addition, the presenter will describe several challenges that are inherent in the assessment of dyslexia, including: the over-reliance on phonological processing; the difficulty with early identification; the dilemma of twice exceptional students; the existence of co-occurring disorders, such as ADHD and language impairments; and the failure to implement the educational recommendations. Suggested solutions will be provided to address these challenges. The presenter will also briefly describe the Tests of Dyslexia, a comprehensive measure for dyslexia assessment, which will be available in 2022.
